<h2 id="accesspoint">What is an IAP?</h2>
<p>
An Internet access point (IAP) is a GPRS or high-speed connection provided by your telecom operator. If your phone is not set up with an access point, you can add one manually.
</p>
<p>
<b class="note">Note:</b>
You cannot use a WAP gateway as your Internet access point.
</p>
<h2 id="settings">Adding access points</h2>
<ol>
<li>Open your phone's "Tools" folder and go to "Settings "</li>
<li>Select "Connection" and "Access points"</li>
<li>Press "Options" and select "New access point"</li>
<li>If asked, choose "Default settings"</li>
</ol>

Visit the on-line guides with your desktop browser.

<h2 id="connection">Establishing a connection</h2>
<p>
A connection dialog will pop up if you are not connected to the Internet.
Select an access point, and your phone will establish a connection.

<b class="note">Tip:</b>
You can set a <a href="http://help.opera.com/help/settings.html#default">default access point</a>, and even set Opera to <a href="http://help.opera.com/help/settings.html#connection">connect automatically</a>.
